#Australia vs Bangladesh Team News

Australia :

Defending champions Australia has managed to win four out of five games and is at number two at the points table with NRR of +0.812. They only lost to two-times world champs India.

No changes are expected from the Aussies after a good showing against Sri Lanka. While their top order has done the bulk of the scoring so far, their make-shift middle order hasn’t been up to the mark with Glenn Maxwell only having a couple of starts to show for.

The Aussies are most likely to bring in all-rounder Marcus Stoinis in place of Shaun Marsh. Stoinis has recovered from the side strain, he batted and bowled in the practice session.

Australia’s pacemen have delivered with the ball, meanwhile. Mitchell Starc has 13, including five against West Indies at Trent Bridge and four against Sri Lanka last time out. Pat Cummins is two behind, meanwhile, with 11 and an exceptional economy rate of 4.48 runs per over.

Bangladesh :

Bangladesh has won just two matches out of four matches played and one matches got washed out against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh made their first change of this year’s tournament last time out against West Indies and were rewarded when Liton Das – in for Mohammed Mithun – scored an unbeaten 94.

The Tigers won’t want to tinker with their winning combination. The decision to drop Mohammad Mithun and include Liton Das turned out to be a masterstroke. Tamim Iqbal came into his own in the previous match, scoring 48 under pressure.

Liton Das and Mohammad Saifuddin impressing against West Indies. Rubel Hossain is the only possible candidate to replace Mehidy Hasan given the nature of the pitch while much is expected for their star batsman Tamim Iqbal. The experience of their middle order should prove to be pivotal as Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim will look to complement Shakib Al Hasan, who has scored 384 runs so far this season.

Mohammad Saifuddin’s three wickets last time out took him to nine in four games so far, though he has been expensive. Mustafizur Rahman also took three and has seven in total, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib have five apiece – the latter two with good economy rates too.
